Welcome to the GCADT group!
This group has been set up for students (and staff!) of the now legendary Glamorgan Centre for art and design technogoly, Wales, UK.
To Join
Please send a note to Kat, KatCardy, but only if you used to be a student or staff member of the GCADT.
The Purpose
This group was originally set up so current students could display their works (chiefly those created on site at GCADT as part of projects, but since GCADT no longer really exists, this is now a collection of people who used to attend there. This group stands here as a tribute to one of the greatest art collages in the UK.

Glammies and ATRiuM

Hey Guys!
For those of you who aren't in the loop, but would like to attend the Glammies this year, please check out the registration page on the website and pop in your details! - I hope to see you all there!
In other news I've been asked if this group will continue when GCADT moves to the ATRiuM in Cardiff, and while I'd like to say I will continue expanding this page forever I'm finding myself with less and less free time these days, so I think that then might be an appropriate time for me to hang my hat as it where, and say if someone else wants to set up and run an ATRiuM group, which we can link up with this one (sort of a nuskool version if you like) then please go ahead and do so.. but I don't think I would be doing the group justice by trying to keep it going once GCADT moves. This page will still exist of course, and if anyone does ever deicde to post anything then that will get updated when I have time, but I don't think I'll be actively looking to expand this page to cover the new campus - I'm sorry!
Finally (but most importantly!!) please welcome the very talented Flapjackrabbit, CG animation student, but model-builder extrodinare!

Storyboard Artists Required!

Hey guys, here's an offer of work from From rapstertee, for those who don' t know him I vouch for him, he's a good guy! ^-^ Please read below for details.

STORYBOARD ARTISTS REQUIRED FOR ANIMATED MOVIE IN DEVELOPMENT
REQUIREMENT:
I have a number of scripted scenes for a feature-length animated movie (Sci-Fi/Superhero genre) that require storyboarding.
The film is in talks to raise finance in 2007, so things are slowly moving forward...
NUTSHELL:
It's a mix of action and fantasy - think "Buffy-meets-Spider-Man-meets-Star Wars". It's hi tech, but with lots of 'proper acting' scenes and dialogue. I guess it could be mistaken for anime, but I'm not looking to do it in that style, so no biiiig eyes and spikey hair, ok?
FEES:
Right now though, I'm funding all the development and prepro myself, so not a big budget, I'm sorry to say...
The scenes will be priced individually according to length, but all contributors will be mentioned in the film's credits (if it gets made, that is!)
APPLYING:
If interested, please send some of your storyboard work in to me at: streetsofshayde@hotmail.com
(An A4 page, 150dpi, Greyscale) will be fine - College work is fine. But make sure there are figures in it!
SELECTION:
If chosen, I will send the artist a list of scenes needed with prices attached.
You can pick which ones you wish to handle, just don't attempt to take on too much -
partial and unfinished scenes will not be accepted or paid for, so make sure the scene is completed.
I may request small amounts of unpaid changes or 'tweaks' (if really important) but these will not be extensive.
STYLE:
Ideally, the boards will be drawn in a style similar to that of Batman TAS / Justice League, but high detail isn't required.
Most important is that attention is paid to cool angles, framing and make sure you can tell who's meant to be who in the pic!
I'll provide reference pics fo rcharacters and any descriptive text needed.
Any questions and problems - contact me asap. 2 Frames to a landscape A4 page. (Frames: 130mm X 85mm)
Further concept art (higher paid) may be offered to artists who can produce good quality illustrations in the desired style.
AVAILABILITY:
I am aware that the majority of GCADT students have lots of assignments to do, and I have no intention of annoying any of the
animation tutors, so I will not be looking to start this project until after the Xmas break. Again - please do not apply if you have tons of college work to do!
Further artwork will no doubt be needed later on in the year, with the possibility of scenic work, characters and more..
